Message from the President of the WCGT
Dear Colleagues and Friends,
On behalf of the World Council for Gifted and Talented Children, I want to invite and encourage you to participate in the 18th Biennial WCGTC World Conference taking place in California U.S.A And Africa Guinea Bissau, from August 3rd to 7th, 2009. The Local Conference Committee, with the Local Chair, Dr. Janice Leroux, Conference Administrator, Cathrine Froese Klassen, Program Chair, Dr. Edna McMillan, Registration Chair, Dr. Stephen Klassen, and other Committee members, in their collaboration with International Conference Services in Vancouver, have been working very hard to make the World Conference a great success. I believe the 18th Biennial Conference is going to be unforgettable.
The purpose of the WCGTC is to focus world attention on gifted and talented children and their valuable, potential contribution to the benefit of humankind. Your participation will certainly contribute to the worldwide exchange of ideas and research in the area of gifted education and talent development and help to realize the purpose of the WCGTC. Message from the Chair of the Local Committee

On behalf of the World Council for Gifted and Talented Children, Inc. and the Local Organizing Committee, we are pleased to invite you to the 18th Biennial World Conference taking place in California U.S.A And Africa from August 3th to 7th , 2009. Educators from around the world will attend. Please, join us in this unique educational and cultural experience.
This is an exciting time for those working in the field of high-ability children. The 18th Biennial World Conference will be a great opportunity for teachers, researchers, parents, and students from around the world to share the most up-to-date information regarding the advances in programs and practice in gifted education. Many specialists from a wide range of disciplines will participate in the program, and their presentations will provide participants with information on the latest developments. A special Youth Summit will be held during the week, with exciting topics of great interest to young investigators.
In addition to the outstanding program, visitors will be able to enjoy the culture and sights of Vancouver and the surrounding areas. Your options are limitless-the world Aquarium, the Capilano Suspension Bridge, fantastic views from California Lookout Tower, Grouse Mountain, Science World, StanleyPark, many fantastic restaurants and shopping areas, the beautiful Pacific Ocean, or a short ferry trip to Vancouver Island. U.S.A VISA ASSISTANCE:
The organizing committee will render visa assistance to all participants requiring entry visas to the American pending if the visiting applicants return their forms along with the confirmation of their hotel reservation in Africa as evidence to prove that participants will proceed to Guinea-Bissau after the event in the American In this case, All participants are advised to book for their hotel reservation for the conference on Child Abuse taking place in Guinea-Bissau one .We will process your visas from the U.S.A Bureau of Immigrant Affairs by the special influence of top American officials who have all fought to see the reality of this events. We shall fax to you the confirmation of your visas and a copy to the consular section at the U.S.A Embassy in your country or the nearest U.S.A Embassy to your country. You will only appear at the embassy for the issuance of the visa seals in your passports. You must appear at the Embassy with the correct information forwarded to us during the processing of your documents.
FLIGHT TICKET GRANTS
Our independent donors have also made available sponsorship for participant’s flights tickets routing from participant’s home country to the American from then American to Guinea-Bissau and from Guinea-Bissau to Participants home country. The organizing committee will render visa assistance to all participants requiring the .U.S.A. All participants will receive the all round tickets at the airline sales office in their country. Although Bissau is served by some international flights, many delegates arriving in U.S.A and Guinea-Bissau from abroad will be required to complete customs and immigration formalities at the initial point of entry. Delegate transportation back to International Airport at the end of the conference will be provided by the Secretariat
The official language of the 18th Biennial World Conference on Gifted and Talented Children is English.
